Talking BITs: Title IX and BIT: Emergency Removals and Violence Risk Assessments

The Title IX regulations mandate an individualized safety or risk analysis if an institution is going to limit educational access (e.g., emergency removal), which can often take the form of a Violence Risk Assessment (VRA). This program will review how to determine if a VRA is warranted, who should conduct the VRA, and what to do after receiving the VRA results. The session will also discuss how Title IX and BIT can work collaboratively.
